Server Chat Rules

Here at Ediforce, we try to maintain a community accessible by children and adults alike. With that diverse environment in mind, we require our players to adhere to a strict set of rules designed to help foster such a community. We ask that you obey them in order to help us keep this server running smoothly and awesomely!

Chat Rules

The following rules are broken up into sections based on the offense. The items listed in below are not permitted in the server chat at any time. Please bear in mind that every single rule regarding every little thing may not have been thought of or written out. Simply use good judgement when handling new situations.


Spam is one of the most common offenses committed on servers. Everyone dislikes seeing huge walls of text or repeated postings of the same thing. We ask that you refrain from spamming the server in any way. Spam includes, but is not limited to:

  • Posting large walls of text
  • Posting repeated messages (writing the same thing over and over)
  • Using CAPS LOCK when writing
  • Posting nonsensical things that are entirely irrelevant to the server or discussion

Profanity and Inappropriate Language

We have a strict rule against profanity and inappropriate language, as we want the server to remain a place where kids can be safe and not exposed to profane or vulgar words. The rule here is very simple. Profanity or inappropriate language of any kind is forbidden. Be smart here. You know what words are good to use and what words aren't. If you don't think it should be used in front of a seven year old, then don't! Please, just use good judgement. If you are warned or banned for profanity or inappropriate and you say, "I didn't know that was a bad word!", we will most likely disregard your claim. You should know what you can and can not say. If you truly do not know, then please ask a staff member privately. "Testing" the word out in public will result in a warning or ban if it is considered inappropriate. Some examples of things not permitted would be:

  • Profanity/Cursing
  • Sexual language or content of any kind
  • Crude remarks of any kind

Abusive Language

One of the principles of the server is communication, and abusive language has no place in that. If you have a problem with someone else on the server, please just keep it to yourself or work it out without outside the game. The server is not a place to launch your verbal assaults against other people. Abusive language includes, but is not limited to:

  • Insults (any negative or demeaning language used to hurt, disrespect, or put down another player)
  • Accusing people of hacking or cheating
  • Threatening other players (in game or in real life)


Once again, we are all here to work and play together. Discrimination has no place in that picture. We want everyone to feel welcome and accepted on Ediforce. Discrimination because of:

  • Race/Ethnicity
  • Sex/Gender
  • Age
  • Religion
  • Beliefs
  • Orientation
  • Abilities/Disabilities
  • Social Status
  • Employment
  • Language

is forbidden. However, discrimination is not limited to the above listed items, and will be punished if seen or reported on the server.


Advertising is not allowed on the server for any reason. We are doing our best to maintain an awesome environment for everyone to play in, and advertising simply hurts this effort. You are not allowed to advertise the following items under any circumstances:

  • IPs or links to other servers
  • Links to websites are other places (besides the official Ediforce links)
  • YouTube or channels, videos, or streams (without the consent of the Administration)

This list is not all-inclusive and other things may fall under the category of advertising. Please refrain from such.


Impersonating, or pretending to be another player or staff member is not allowed. All staff members and helpers will have a tag in front of their name. Examples would be: [Owner], [Admin], or [Moderator].In a world of freedom and uniqueness, why would you want to be anyone other than yourself?

Respect Staff Members

When a staff members tells you to do something, please do it. If you feel that a staff member is going outside of his or her boundaries or is abusing power, you may report it in the Report a Player section of the Forum or contact that staff member's Administrator. However, while you are on the server, please do not argue or disrespect a staff member. They have been placed in a position of authority over you and ask you to honor it and them. Staff members are here to help you and make your experience even more enjoyable.


If you are caught or reporting breaking a rule, you will be punished. The severity of your offense will dictate what kind of punishment you will receive, but in general we will use the following system to punish rule breakers:

Warn => Mute (small amount of time) => Mute (greater amount of time) => Kick from server and mute => Ban (varied amounts of time)

The Administration reserves the right to punish as seen fit regarding the circumstances and is not required to adhere to the previously stated principles for punishment. If you feel that you have been banned unfairly, you may appeal your ban in the Forum.

Please note, the Administration reserves the right to change, modify, add, and remove rules with or without notice. By participating in the chat, game, forum and other means you accept and agree to follow all rules laid out before you and understand that breaking the rules can and will result in due punishment.
